Roman Joost

Roman is contributor to several Zope (http://www.zope.org) projects as
well involved with the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). For the latter
project he manages the team working on the documentation (http://docs.gimp.org)
and contributes to the source code of the program since 2003. Additionally he's
a professional Zope developer, working for Zope companies
(http://www.infrae.com, http://www.gocept.de) in the past and with that
contributing to Zope as well.

The talk introduces how to quickly and easily create web applications with
Grok, a web framework based on Zope3 (http://grok.zope.org).

The talk will cover:

  • a quick introduction to Zope3 and Grok
  • based on an example application a quick walk through on how to create applications with Grok
  • pitfalls for newcomers and how to avoid them.
