Full Paper

Cultivating Codeless Contributors discusses making light work of project growth by utilising the talents of those willing to help in ways that don't involve cutting code.

There is an old adage which says "Many hands make light work". This is not untrue of software development; big successful projects are built on the work of many people. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and not everyone's strengths include cutting code. How can your project appropriately exploit the talents of the volunteers it already has (and maybe collect a few more along the way)? The author plucks seeds of wisdom from her experiences with the Ubuntu community to help answer this question.
