Jorke is a Web Platform Architect Evangelist for Microsoft Australia, and works in the technical community of Web Hosting Providers. Jorke has previously worked with large service providers in a variety of roles specialising in the deployment and management of Microsoft technologies in multi-tenancy situations - particularly with IIS, .NET, and any web-based applications. He loves talking about datacentre optimisation and the ideas of green technology in the datacentre.

Open Source Web Apps in Azure

Cloud computing is the new black, and with many large vendors releasing their own cloud platforms, how will these interoperate with current apps? In this session we'll focus on taking several Open Source Web Apps, written in Perl, PHP, Java and python and demonstrate easy methods to get large scalability in Microsoft's Cloud computing platform Azure. We'll also touch on cloud computing concepts for web app design.
